Our team keeps a confidential computerised record of the prescriptions and use this to assess potential interactions or side effects, both for prescribed medication and give advice offered on non-prescription products.DeliveringWe provide a free delivery service to all patients receiving NHS prescriptions.Disposal of unwanted medicinesWe will dispose safely of patient's unwanted medication.Promotion of healthy lifestylesWe provide opportunistic advice on healthy lifestyle topics over the telephone.Support for self-careWe provide self-care advice on managing long-term conditions and minor illnesses through telephone communication. We signpost or refer patients to other health professionals or organisations, for further support, advice or treatment when required.Support for people with disabilities. Our pharmacy is compliant and in line with the Disability Discrimination Act. Various compliance devices and aids are also available.Clinical GovernanceOur pharmacy is committed to continually improving our services through the application of clinical governance and complies with the Data Protection Act and the NHS code of confidentiality.Discharge Medicines ServiceOur pharmacists will be able to help support you once you have been discharged from hospital through the Discharge Medicines Service. We will help optimise the use your medicines improve your understanding of the medicines you are prescribed and ensure you know how to take them following discharge.
